4.14 Negotiation and Drafting of Contracts, Leases and Brokerage Agreements
The Company encourages Agents to draft and present Contracts, Leases and Brokerage Agreements in person to clients whenever possible.
When negotiating a Contract, the Agent must stress to the client that the agreement is not binding until all parties have signed and delivery has occurred (ratification).
For all Agents, your local association forms and NVAR forms are provided. Any additional forms may require a secondary membership paid by the Agent.
Agents should use the Global Templates created in Zipforms for aid in drafting paperwork.
Verbal agreements are not binding.
Agents are required to counter offers in writing unless prohibited due to the transaction being a Corporate Relocation Transaction.
The use of “Buyer Love Letters” is discouraged by the Company per NAR.
